Old mistakes repeated
(but you get the source code now)
With Poul-Henning Kamp.
With 35 years of UNIX experience we have had a lot of learning opportunities, and as a community we should be very wise by now. So wise in fact that we ought be able to avoid making the same old mistakes yet again. This talk will take a hairy eyeball to the latest generation of UNIX hackers and see if they stand on the toes or shoulders of the giants that went before them.
Poul-Henning Kamp
Poul-Henning first tried UNIX 25 years ago and has
been been rewriting FreeBSD for the last 12 years. He is still not done.
In his spare time he attempts to offer disproof for the widely accepted
older-wiser-connection.
