Postfix Map types/Policy Daemon
With Ralf Hildebrandt.
The map types that Postfix can use differ in their usage, memory consuption, latency and lookup speed. For the use in smtpd_*_restrictions, Postfix offers the possibility to query a policy daemon. Both areas are only lightly discussed, so the details are mostly unknown.
The speech will give an overview over the characteristics of the map types. Furthermore, some real-world examples of policy daemons will be shown, as well as a generic skeleton policy daemon script.
